Built for Forestry Work
The RT-135 Forestry is designed for operators who need serious power, protection, and productivity in the woods. It is built to handle applications such as forestry mulching, brush clearing, vegetation management, right-of-way work, land clearing, and rugged site preparation. Its reinforced forestry design, wide tracks, high ground clearance, and high-capacity hydraulic system help it perform in tough environments where debris, uneven terrain, and demanding attachments are part of the job.
Power and Performance
The RT-135 Forestry is powered by a Cummins QSF3.8 diesel, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine producing 132 horsepower and 360 ft-lb of peak torque. Power is delivered through hydrostatic direct-drive sprockets, helping the machine push, climb, carry, and run demanding attachments with confidence. With a 4,150 lb rated operating capacity, 5,929 lb 50% operating capacity, and 11,858 lb tipping load, this loader is built for high-demand work.
ASV Posi-Track® Undercarriage
The RT-135 Forestry uses ASV’s patented Posi-Track® rubber-track suspension with suspended wheels and axles. This undercarriage is designed to help the machine travel smoothly, maintain traction, and work efficiently across rough or uneven terrain. Its 20-inch wide tracks, 71-inch length of track on the ground, and 2,840 square inches of ground contact area help deliver low ground pressure and stable performance for forestry and land clearing conditions.
Forestry Guarding and Protection
The RT-135 Forestry includes a guarding package designed for demanding forestry work. Protective features help shield the machine and operator from debris, impacts, and harsh working conditions. The machine is designed to meet forestry-focused protection standards for rollover protection, falling object protection, operator protection, window guarding, roof structure, seat belt anchorage, and thrown object guarding.
Operator Comfort and Visibility
The RT-135 Forestry features ASV’s MAX-Series cab, designed for comfort during long days and demanding jobs. The cab offers additional legroom, shoulder room, and foot room, along with improved ergonomics to help reduce fatigue. An upgraded HVAC system supports air circulation and defrosting, while large windows, LED lighting, and an integrated rear-view camera help improve visibility around the machine.
Serviceability
The RT-135 Forestry is designed to make routine maintenance easier. The three-panel hood gives operators access to the Cummins engine, while the tilting cooler arrangement supports maintenance access. A rearward-tilting cab provides additional accessibility when more in-depth service is required. Hydraulic quick attach helps operators change attachments efficiently and keep the machine working.
Controls and Display
The RT-135 Forestry uses electronic joystick controls for both loader and drive functions. The right-hand joystick controls loader lift, lower, tilt, and intermittent auxiliary hydraulics, while the left-hand joystick controls machine speed and direction. Loader speed and track speed are adjustable, and operators can select ISO or H control patterns. The 7-inch color display provides key machine data, diagnostics, rear-view camera display, maintenance schedules, job clock, password-protected user profiles, DEF level, adjustable controls, adjustable hydraulic flows, and optional winch control.
Best-Fit Applications
The ASV RT-135 Forestry is well suited for operators who need maximum compact track loader power, forestry guarding, high-flow hydraulics, and strong ground performance. Common applications include:
- Forestry mulching
- Land clearing
- Brush clearing
- Vegetation management
- Right-of-way maintenance
